Monday Made it With Duck Tape

I am linking up with 4th Grade Frolics for a Monday Made It!  When I first saw this idea on Kristen's Kindergarten, I knew that I had to do this with my students' Reading and Math Interactive Notebooks!   So, when Walmart had their notebooks for $0.17, I stocked up and grabbed some duck tape!

As you can see, the duck tape does not effect the inside and there should be no more tangled spiral wires!

Next up, I will be using these jumbo craft sticks and hot glue for my next project!  Have a great week creating!

Back to School Shopping

I didn't mean for it to happen.  I was just minding my own business!  However, I ended up coming home with some new loot for my classroom!  I have been loving my greens and blues color scheme in my classroom.  When I saw these beach chairs on clearance at Bog Lots, I knew they had to be mine!

At office Max I found these pockets.  They will be perfect for my Gold Tags!

A quick trip to the Dollar General....

During my trip to the Dollar Tree, I had to take a look at their tubs/baskets.  I LOVE the colors! 

 I did keep some restraint and just bought a few....this time.

These are the rest of the items that I ended up with.

These will be great for several of my math center games!

I used these same kind of bags last year for my Welcome goodies for my new firsties!  The colors and size are perfect!

I am not sure what I will use these for yet, any ideas?

Enjoying Summer!

Here in Michigan we had MANY makeup days due to our harsh winter months.  We did not finish the school year until June 19th.  Of course, days later I was on my way to the New Orleans SDE Conference.  

Now, I have been enjoying the slower days of summer with my kiddos.  We were introduced to geocaching and are having a blast with it!  Who knew that there were so many around us!

The geocaching app has made it so nice for us!

My kiddos have also enjoyed all of the activities at our local community library.

Camping with friends has also been a huge highlight for us!

Today the kiddos and I went to the zoo.  

I have been loving all of the Vegas pics that I have seen all over blogland!  Keep them coming!  Maybe next year?!
